Looking for a replacement

Im very impressed with the intelligent discussion on this forum and I am hoping that someone may be able to help me. I am trying to replace a watch that my wife inherited from her uncle many years ago. A couple years back during a dark and desperate time, I pawned the watch to make our house payment. I have regretted doing so forever and would sure like to find a replacement.

I don't remember what the face looked like or really any details. It was rose or pink gold. The only information I have on it is the Technical Laboratories Certificate. The watch No. is 46517 so I assume a 1938 model? Written in pencil in the upper RH corner of the certificate is 8150. Could this be the reference #?

Thanks in advance for any direction on this.

Jeff

Welcome to the Forum!

Wow, you have quite a task ahead of you.

My only suggestion would be to go to the pawn shop to see if it was sold to a local person, or if they have a receipt for the sale.

Wish you the best of luck!!!!

I'd suggest doing many, many searches on ebay to get a handle on what model it was.
I used photos I pulled from ebay to build a pretty good data base of the different models and variations...

As soon as I had enough cash to get it back, I went to the pawn shop. Too late. They said that they did not sell it themselves but rather sold it in a bulk lot to another liquidator and they did not remember which one.

I guess what I'm trying to ask here is the information I have enough to describe what this watch looked like? The face, the hands, day/date/, size, etc. I have no idea on any of that.

Thanks again.
