I'd like to say that you're a very thoughtful partner to go to effort of creating an account on a Rolex forum to ask which Rolex watch to purchase. I hope you find the right model. Presuming he needs another watch ;)

Looking at his collection I'd go with Datejust 41 smooth bezel and would be easier to get than a submariner right now

Hi all! Thanks for all the input and discussion; it really helped me understand what brands and specific models my husband is interested in having. I thought I would report back with my final pick for his birthday gift! Last weekend he tried on several Omega and Tudor watches and I (unexpectedly) fell in love with the Omega Railmaster. The textured blue dial and brushed bracelet fit him so well. Thanks again, everyone!

Unfortunately, this forum (much to my surprise) is filled with these types who were never taught if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything.
Congratulations!

Congratulations on the pick. At the end of the day it’s what he loves. I too am thinking of adding a Omega to my collection.

Mark my words. You will be back here asking what Rolex to get. It’s a scratch that can’t be itched by any other brand. I can’t explain it. And I’m not being facetious. You will be back. Till next time. Hope he wears in good health!

The effort and research you did is worth more than the watch, true love. He is lucky to have a great wife like you!

Datejust 41, Submariner. Take a look at WatchRecon and learn who the trusted sellers are.
