I built myself a 12 slot watch box.

I've had more watches than that, and fewer.

4 seems to be a great spot.

I have 7 Currently. And want to add a GMT again.

I think its good to have a few, not just one. Personally I would cap around 10 watches but I like to keep a good rotation throughout the months.

Less is more IMO. I’d go for fewer awesome pieces. But to each their own.

I think 3 maybe 4 is a good number. If you only have one you get tired of wearing it everyday, at least I did. Some guys have a briefcase full of watches and I can’t imagine having that many in rotation.

I've had 3 watches for a very long time and I liked how I could rotate 2 of them during the weekdays for work and one for the weekend. Now that I have 6 it's hard to get all of them equal wrist time. I think for me 4 watches is optimal.

Seems like you have a lot of money so why not just buy the ones you like

I would prefer to have 2 classic watches to 8 average watches.

I now realize that less is more. Two collections would be perfect.

More like, I’d rather have a healthy 6 at $25k, than many more for the same price. I would also not be much of a fan of 1 or 2 at the same rate.

I have gone from 11 Rolex watches down to one DD40. I did keep 2 SS sport watches to give to my kids upon graduation. I am totally satisfied with this decision for me. I do have a Apple watch that I also enjoy.
