Thank you Steve, I really always did love it. Finding the right comfort setting has been a 3 (now soon to be 4) year journey, but it’s not going anywhere

Congratulations getting it back I always said it looked good on your wrist, and I know you love divers and this one is the best when it comes to Rolex in my humble opinion.

Have to say I’m somewhat surprised as I know you tried your absolute best (even to the extent of trying to get the caseback shaved thinner if I remember correctly lol) to make it comfortable for you.

Looks right at home, any initial concerns about comfort so far? I hope it sticks this time!

You have an excellent memory indeed brother

I did look into having a custom caseback machined locally but at the end of that exercise I realized that for the money it just wasn’t worth it. I think it was in the $2000 range if I recall I also wasn’t all the comfortable with the idea of putting non factory parts onto my watch

That said, I’ve worn it for about a week total since I got it back, and have to say I really missed it. There’s so much to love about this reference, and I agree with you, it’s one of the best.

Good to hear! I wear mine looser than other watches, I’m not sure why exactly but the I think the caseback almost grips the wrist a bit so the bracelet is allowed to be worn a little looser, (that’s my technical analysis) and I sleep with it on it doesn’t come off for anything except another watch.

*strangely, the only time I ever experience any discomfort with this watch in when it’s wet don’t ask me why, it seems to slide around

I replaced it with a Red Sub. That’ll have to do for me.

Funny, but I was considering the same move when I sold my SD43, but prices had gotten just a bit too out of hand for my budget

That’s a very interesting point Jay … looser seems to be better for me too. I had always thought I’d need to wear it snuggly on my wrist so I spent most of my time removing and adding all sorts of link combinations and playing with the glidelock … who knew
