Congrats Brian!!! I have a similar story of a buy-back but that’s for another day. It looks great. Wear it well!

I forgot how much I missed it, and when Mario offered up the chance to buy it back … we’ll let’s just say I’m a weak, weak man |

Congrats Brian - that’s a great watch. I remember being very keen on it when it came out and I tried one on. Hopefully a keeper this time

Thank you Steve, I really always did love it. Finding the right comfort setting has been a 3 (now soon to be 4) year journey, but it’s not going anywhere

Glad she's back on your wrist, Brian.. Don't let her get away a second time! Very happy for you, it's something truly special to be reunited with the exact same watch we loved and missed!

Congratulations getting it back I always said it looked good on your wrist, and I know you love divers and this one is the best when it comes to Rolex in my humble opinion.
Have to say I’m somewhat surprised as I know you tried your absolute best (even to the extent of trying to get the caseback shaved thinner if I remember correctly lol) to make it comfortable for you. Looks right at home, any initial concerns about comfort so far? I hope it sticks this time! |

I did look into having a custom caseback machined locally but at the end of that exercise I realized that for the money it just wasn’t worth it. I think it was in the $2000 range if I recall I also wasn’t all the comfortable with the idea of putting non factory parts onto my watch That said, I’ve worn it for about a week total since I got it back, and have to say I really missed it. There’s so much to love about this reference, and I agree with you, it’s one of the best. I’ve tried wearing it a bit loser than in the past, and have have better luck with the comfort so far. It’s not going anywhere this time. I love everything about it and will learn to live with the caseback profile |

*strangely, the only time I ever experience any discomfort with this watch in when it’s wet don’t ask me why, it seems to slide around |

Well done, Brian! Your pics made me try it 3x!
I never could stand the discomfort. But I miss it dearly. I replaced it with a Red Sub. That’ll have to do for me. Wear in good health, again!

It sounds like you really gave it a good effort I’d love to see your red Sub. Funny, but I was considering the same move when I sold my SD43, but prices had gotten just a bit too out of hand for my budget |

Beautiful watch....I had it twice and let go for the same reason...when things settle down price wise...well, 3rd time is a charm!

Somehow I missed that thread, I saw your wrist shots on the other threads and I was wondering what's going on here!
My May 3, 2017 SD43 says, welcome back sis! Great reunion! Enjoy her in the best of health, my friend! |
