I agree with others. The diamond bezel is too much for me.

It was new for this year. Previously they said platinum couldn't be machined that way so it was smooth bezel only. Then the elves figured out a way :)

OP - good move! Unless you work as a Liberace impersonator this probably goes overboard for a work watch.

Got it. I was reading it wrong.

Thank you. That part I knew, I was reading the post wrong.

Yep, I feel the same, I'm not really into diamonds. A little bling is nice, but this is too much for me, plus I don't like the look.

yeah, as others have said, way too much. If it would've had the fluted bezel then I'd say yes, go for it.

I'm just here to comment how awesome the heat blued second hand looks with that glacier blue dial. Awesome.

I agree with your decision though, diamond bezel is too much imo.

You made the correct decision, do not settle and hope of a bezel swap.

Agree. Too blingy; stay with fluted.

I’d pass on the diamonds.

I’m all in on the Fluted Bezel.

The pic in the OP is a DD40, not a 36.

I enjoy Rolex for their "tool" watch reputation. This doesn't quite check that box. Doubt it could survive the jungles of Vietnam or flights in an F-4 or B-52.
Not for me.
