As stated, 40mm expII ist not an option due to red seconds hand.

I will definetly go through with that, as soon as I make great photo to post add here. I'm traveling to East Coast USA soon so that might help with finding the right deal

This photo does a fantastic job of showing why I found them both too large for my preferences.
The 39mm explorer is a fantastic case size for my wrist but “too much dial” for my taste.
The modern explorer II has a more agreeable dial / case ratio but I found it a little overwhelming on wrist .

Both wearable on my 7 inch wrist but larger than I’m wanting to comfortably wear as a daily on bracelet

The red accent on the GMT hand is also what I don’t like about the smaller ExpII…. But I love the orange.

I personally chose the new 36mm explorer for something smaller/ lighter and more comfortable but I still love the MKII explorer….. I just don’t wear it any more.
It is indeed more sporty and if you love it on your wrist I think you will be very happy with it as a modern sport wear daily.
It’s an awesome watch in it simplicity, excellent construction and design.

Glad to say I went and got a 39mm Explorer here on the forums :)

But it's hard putting exp2 for sale, so I'm gonna do it after 1.1.2023.

Essential. There is no logical reason for wearing a mechanical watch, presumably with complications you never use and/or will not miss. It all comes down to what you desire, not what you need.

And yes, as pointed out earlier, you are crazy. Who isn't in this hobby/obsession/illness?
