Mine knows that there will never be another Rolex.

I have the only one I have ever wanted.

My wife shows little interest in my watches, and thinks they are too expensive.

My next purchase may not even be a Rolex. I do like the JLC Reverso...

That sounds exactly like what I was going to write: In the beginning my wife did NOT understand it at all, but lately I have seen progress on two fronts:

A) My wife has started looking at ladies presidents
B) I have noticed that once in a while my new SS DJ is missing from the winder - and who do you think was "borrowing" it....right, Mrs. Tandrup

It actually made me pretty happy that she started wearing my DJ. It's not going to be long before she gets her first Rolex as a birthday or christmas present.

Hi Thomas - I forgot to say hello from a fellow Dane! I moved to San Fran 6 years ago, but lived in Denmark until then. Great to see another Dane in here.

SHE will not be wearing it, so it's really of no consequence to her. Besides - what about the element of surprise? And how about the less complicated issue of asking forgiveness instead of permission?

My better half pretends that she is oblivious to the brand and model name, except she can throw out the exact amount I paid down to the penny...especially during arguements

My wife knows that I'm currently lusting for a Sub or GMT 1675. When I showed her one that I liked, she asked if I was planning on spending like 5 grand on one? No, I thought to myself, more like 8.

To keep the peace: My next watch will cost me a bathroom remodel (for her).

The only thing she remembers is that I want a new GMT "Pepsi". She loves the red/blue and is also hoping Rolex makes a new ceramic one. I'm sure that will be my birthday gift whenever they get around to it.
