With all of the questions how could you even consider buying the watch? Rolex made several Air Kings get one from a seller with a history and references.

I am ashamed I missed the obvious on the eBay auction. That sticker does not have a holograph.

I just PMed the seller and asked if I could look at the watch. It is not all bad living the the biggest market in the US of A. There lots of things to look at.

Thankyou for your 'teaching' Guys....

I have in touch with the TRF seller who offer a watch (http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=122911) with the same reference number in the photo I posted here. I do believe that the TRF member offer is legitimate and that he has the watch he offered.

However, the seller (not the TRF member) who made me an offer mailed me a photo (as shown in my first post) which triggers an alarm as the watch in the photo is the same as the one being offered by TRF member.

I contacted the seller and will update this thread if I do hear from him again.

My sincere apology for any misunderstand caused

Hologram stickers began around 2002.

Here is a similar sticker:

The seller said he would let me see the watch in person and is willing to meet at an AD.

The watch even though still in "BNIB" condition still needs over $600 in service from Rolex.

OK I trust you. You would know. I have seen the knock off rolex pictures with bad holograph copys. Some of them appear to be without a holograph but a crown sticker.

I know where I've seen it !!

Hey ........................ That's the watch I lost after I got it from my deceased Grandfather who found it between the cushions of his former girl friends brothers mothers house just before it (the house, not the watch) was searched by Al Capone when he was looking for Jimmy Hoffa ...........................

Don't forget... No box, no papers, and you don't know about watches....
(and YOU spelled everything correctly... the scammers rarely do)

I am quite sure between those things, add in the language barrier/translation issues (which I give more grace to on the legitimate listings) the pictures...
It is amazing the stories they come up with.

I still think my personal favorite was the guy who said he needed to sell the watch to buy a ticket to Africa to see his fiancee in a few weeks, but he posted pictures of the watch with his wedding ring on. DOH!
