Once again Thank you all. It's an honor to have an opportunity to help.

If some of you missed it Boyd Huppert with KARE 11 from the twin cities was documenting the entire rebuild. We all felt sorry for his camera guy for handling the huge, heavy camera from 7am until 8am the next morning and then to be back up an hour later to work more until around noon. Through all of the hard work and some pranks on Boyd he still managed to put together one of the most touching stories I have ever seen. It might be the fact that I lived it, but his ability to capture emotions and the full story and deliver it in a manner that will touch you deeply is something that I find hard to describe. I'm including a link to his six minute segment during prime time news.

Thank You Boyd!

I've got some numbers for you, for all of you, that are pretty astounding:

The number of visits to Tyler Shipman's Caringbridge site - almost 96,000.

The number of entries on his Caringbridge site - almost 1,700.

The number of people who in not even one week joined the Facebook page "In Memory of Tyler Shipman", created by a friend - almost 1,200.

When Tyler's mom heard those numbers she said, "That's WILD!!! That's just crazy!!"

But - that's not all. According to Danyel Potvin, webmaster of Tylerstoy.com - the Fiero website:

The number of views on that site is about 79,000.

The average number of views per day is over 3,000.

The number of active members on Tyler's Fiero Forum is over 8,000.

The number of views to all of the Tyler threads is over 135,000.

The number of people linked directly to the Tyler Project - the rebuild of that yellow dream car - is over 550.

The number of people affected by the Tyler Project - approximately 250,000.

And, he added, the number of people is has taken to restore their lives, just one. That of Tyler Shipman.

There has to be something extraordinary about Tyler Shipman that so many people, many who have never even met them, feel so drawn to him, his family and his friends.

The journey with them over the last few months HAS restored lives. It has changed great people into even better people. It has gotten all kinds of goodness out of a tough, sad situation.

The kindness, courage, amazing grace, and just the right amount of mischief of a regular Frazee boy and his family and friends has turned into an awesome testament of love and faith.

Stu, while Tyler displayed grace, dignity and integrity through his illness, what made this story so inspirational was the nationwide and even worldwide response from people like yourself who came to the aid of someone they had never met and helped him achieve his dream. In turn, the restoration effort brought donations of money, shops and equipment, food and lodging from others inspired by the gift of the people who traveled from far and wide to help.

At a time when it seems that governments, industries, banks and economies are letting us down at every turn, the story of Tyler and his new-found friends truly brings hope that good will ultimately prevail in this world.
