I'm drooling over that sub, the no date sub is probably my second favourite rolex. I think it looks a bit big on my wrists, but it's definitely on my future purchases list. It really looks like a real tool watch on a NATO btw what's an RAF-style strap?

The Explorer I lends its self well to any strap, IMHO the steel bracelet hides the beautiful shape of the lugs.
Some very nice looking watches here, starting to have serious Explorer envy |

Thanks! A RAF strap is basically a NATO without the extra cloth keeper. The watch fits closer to the wrist.

This is the best I could find on Ebay. It was cheap enough ($16.99) to give it a try. Item number 400106123997 on Ebay. If I get bored some night I might try to figure out how to distress it to make it well used like Hillary's. Robert Here is the Hillary photo again. |

Hey Robert,
That's not bad! If you wear 'em like I do, it'll look right in a few weeks... Bill |

Looks great! Very similar to the Hilary strap I think only time will give it a nice patina, so I'd recommend you wear it as much as possible, it looks good and will only get better

I love how that bond looks on that expII. It's simple, understated, elegant, in short it's got everything I love in a watch. The black faced explorer II was my other choice when I wasU a looking for my watch, so had I not find my watch, I'd be rocking one of those
