I happen to own a GMT and a Sub ND...it doesn't bother me at all when I wear the Sub(not to have a date)as I have a cell phone which gives me that information. Or there are always calendars around!!!

nice

I don't "need" the date, but I've got to say it's the only complication that I actually use. I don't miss the date when I'm wearing a non-date watch and wouldn't hesitate to buy another one.

Started a thread about this myself and personally it's not a deal breaker for me at all. It
also helps that I love the millie . I have not used a watch to find out the date in years .

I can drive a stick shift, but I do need the date...my YM was the first watch I owned with a date feature (I got it at 32). I didn't get it because of the date feature, but it grew on me (as did the bezel timer feature). Now I rely on it so much I would want a date feature on a watch for daily wearing (I would make an exception for a dressy watch for special occasions). I sign and date my name several times a day so I definitely use it.

I like the date complication, but it will not keep me from buying models I covet that don't have it, like the 14060 or Daytona. But it is very useful.

At the end of the day, go for the one your heart tells you. Don't worry about the date. That's what cel. phones, computers, & calendars are for.

Can't wait to see pics. Good Luck!

A date is nice to have, but not a must.

Ha! I'm with you on this Dave. I never know if my date is correct and end up looking at my computer screen or smart phone to verify. Lord... But I do like knowing its there.

Happy NY everyone.
