Now pretty much every space agency uses the American space pen. It just works better. |

About the Fisher pens: I used a Fisher refill in my Parker Jotter for a while. I found that if I didn't use it for a long time, it would sometimes dry up and not write. I had to scribble with it for some time before it started flowing again.

Just as Rolex boasts of the 'hermetically sealed' oyster case so to does the Fisher Pen Co boast of the 'hermetically sealed' ball-pen refill.
Maybe that's the secret to a successful product I love the 'bold' (broad) refill, its awesome

And this is a pen where the refills have an approximate usable life (not dry out) for 100 years.
So there you go, it could even outlast your Rolex

Great post! I was just on the site looking around and was blown away with the lifetime pen. It says it is not a refill pen and will be the last pen you buy. Pretty sweet. They cost less then I thought. Thanks again for posting.

You are welcome Rick.
There are 'lifetime pens' but there are only 3 models of those: Millenium, Millenium II and Mars. They are quite a bit more expensive than the Cap-O-Matic which is the pen that I personally own. I can only speak for the Cap-O-Matic, apart from all the technical features, it does really write buttery smooth, almost rollerball like, but it is a ball-point.

My Fisher B4 pen(black grid design slim profile) arrived today and I really like it...of course not as much as my MontBlancs but all in all a great pen. It writes beautifully and I payed the extra $2.00 for a fine refill!!!

Nice going Leo. I've been writing with my Cap-O-Matic today.
I'm looking to buy a bunch of these pens with "RolexForums.com" printed on the cap as giveaways.

The Mira Series uses the Parker style ink refill so we used a Fisher Space Pen SPR Series Pressurized Black Ink/ Medium Point ink Cartridge. It will take Parker inks and Gels, or the Fisher SPR series refills.

Cap-O-Matic arrived today from the US. Great value, looks pretty good too.
First thing I tried was writing upside down. |

It just depends on what you like...I happen to enjoy and use fine fountain pens but I did recently buy a Fisher retractable space pen and carry it along with my fountain pens. For a ballpoint it does write very nicely!!!

This pen looks very interesting. Can the cartridge be fitted into other pens? This pen would be great on a boat or airplane...
