Used to have a GMTIIc but sold it and went for the Sub C.
Never looked back since. |

The GMT-C might suite you better since you travel a lot. I honestly love them both, and could go with either one of them.

I have a GMT II and a GMT IIc
I also have a 116613 blue Serti and a 116610LV Wish I could help you, but I can't Best of luck, hate to be you right about now. Seriously, get the GMT IIc and don't sweat the PCL's. It's a sick watch. Yacht-Master is pretty nice too. Get the one with the red date. And if you can find the red date, PM me, please GMT IIc all the way !!

gotta go SubC....glidelock clasp. no PCLs. not a fan of the bezel font on the GMTIIc, plus, SubC bezel is cleaner. not a fan of the green text and green 24-hour hand of the GMTIIc.
a negative for the SubC is that it is THE classic rolex sports watch, meaning, you'll see it most often on other people's wrists (if that sort of thing bothers you). the GMT function is nice on the GMTIIc, but, to me, the best GMT in the line up is the 165710 white dial (previous generation polar Explorer II). good luck! |

They both look, feel and wear similar. No PCL and Glidelock are better for me but on the other hand, green GMT hand looks awesome. Tough desicion.

I own both, but if i could only pick one as a keeper, it would be the GMTc for me
- GMTc sits lower on the wrist than the sub - much easier to fit under the cuff of a shirt - i travel a lot too, and the GMT function is very useful - although the Sub has a much deeper depth rating, but for everyday use (swimming etc), they are practically the same in terms of resistance to water - GMT function > depth rating for me - i dont like the blue lume of the sub - to me its a gimmick |

I wear my GMT IIc probably 3-5 days /week, so it can certainly be a daily wear. it's comfortable & goes with any outfit from a suit to jeans. The clasp & a few of the center links on the underside have picked up swirls & scuffs like all watches do, but that's about it. If you can keep it tucked under your cuff it won't get as bad. I like the little bit of extra bling that the GMT has over the sub, but of course the SubC is a fantastic watch too so you won't go wrong either way. |

Both great watches. I went GMT for the dual timezone complication (best around) and have found it extremely useful.
What other watches do you have? I see one is the Seamaster - if it's a version that is similar to a Sub (timing bezel, all brushed) then you may want to go for some variety. |

If you can get a BNIB watch for close to, if not equal the price of a used watch from an AD... umm, why wouldn't you?

SubC...absolutely no contest imho. Glidelock, Brushed links, cleaner bezel, no green hand. But you need to try them both next to each other and buy the one that smiles at you.
