Nice pictures! Where was the dive? I also use a number of Rolex when I dive. Nothing quite as cool as that though.
Regards. Joe

Hello Joe:

These pictures were taken at a diving tank, inside Argentine Army military facilities in the outskirts of Buenos Aires city. This is a huge tank, 35 feet maximun depth. They use for military diving training.
The vintage scuba equipment was tested after complete overhauling, before going to the sea.
Best cordial regards, Abel

Great stuff! Thanks for sharing. I was first certified in 1968 in Freeport Bahamas and bought my 5513 there in '72.

I just re-certified in December after a 42-year SI in anticipation of a visit back to Freeport. My Sub went in to RSC for an overhaul in early December so I'd have it for the trip but it wasn't ready before I left. I'm heading home tomorrow after 10 dives off of Freeport, so I'll have my Sub back later this week but I'll have to come back another time to get it wet.

Cheers,
Rod.

Hello Rod!
Thanks for sharing your experience!
It seems we are both old timers!
You surely had first hand encounter with these old double hose rigs during your training! So far from the easy breathing of today´s regulators!

I made my last dives in 2010 (Florida Keys), and look forward to do it again soon.
I wish you had a great diving vacation trip at Freeport, and you enjoyed your diving there.
Best cordial regards, Abel.

Abel, I'm glad to see you still enjoy your hobbies at your point in life. And I know the time spent with grown children are priceless(grandchildren as well)...especially as you said they have their own lives to live now. I love your 5513 and I too, at 57, remember James Bond and that classic watch movie back in the 1960's.
Best Regards...Leo

Thank you for your kind words Leo. I´m 63 now, and some years older as you see. I am fortunate to keep diving with my son and daughter, and now with my son in law too. Of course I have to keep doing it easy now!

So nice to share good memories with you!
Best cordial regards, Abel.
