Sorry - do you mean BNIB from AD or grey dealer?
IMO - BNIB from AD(with possible discount) = no worries and if the difference is only $500 this would be the way to go Alternatively BNIB from grey dealer = no manufacturers warranty - despite ads claiming "open papers" "your name, date filled in" etc. if these details are not filled in at the point of sale at the AD - bottom line is you do not have the manufacturers warranty. Some brick & mortar greys' do have an 'in-house' watchmaker and will offer you their own 'warranty' as a substitute, others, obviously offer nothing. Ultimately it depends on how much money can potentially be saved via the grey route if it is more than any perceived repair within the first two years then it could possibly be worth considering. Good luck, |

BNIB. Save yourself 700 notes.
The moment you wear it it's used regardless. The used value will be the same no matter whom you bought it from. The warranty can say Mickey Mouse, on it, it's the watch that's under warranty, not you. They should honour the warranty regardless of the registered owner. Save yourself some money and get the watch and treat yourself. The saved 700 can be used for the next service and you will still not have paid the full price. Happy days!!! Good luck. |
