Sub is more 16, if you could say that. I would also say the sub is a more robust watch for your lifestyle. However, if your peer group is as "lucky" as you and also happen to like Rolexes, than the sub is likely pretty common.

I still say Sub.

But, really, I agree with Joe, Lawrence and BernieH.

SUB for sure. If you want to go a cheaper route buy a pre-owned or new old stock 104060 Submariner. It is a classic

The decision you are facing now is a similar one. If you are like me, you will like the datejust. However, with the Sub it will be at a totally new level of enjoyment.

My question is how does a 16 year old get to a position to own such a watch? Anyway, which ever way you go, enjoy.
Haha Lots of saving

Why not? I think those are very mature choices.
Either of those watches can last you a lifetime. I think it's smart to get something good early in life.

This money is way better spent then on a fast car.

Or a nice motorcycle.

Hmmm, not sure. When I was 16, I lost anything nice that I had...lol (I'm 39 now and just bought my first Rolex last week). Go with your gut :)

I'd get the Sub but at 16 there's most likely other things you need before a Rolex.

Had more than one divers watch at that age. They all were cheap crap. I would have made real good use of a Submariner or SubDate.

My advice is to get a 16610 Submariner in good condition. It also qualifies as a rugged tool watch at that age.

I am jealous at every 16 year old who has that choice. Just do it.

Sub. My first watch at 25 was a Sub and it remains with me 5 years later. I would go with the Sub as a first Rolex.
