I had a citizen when I was a teenager so I can sort of understand, altho I had no one wanting to buy me a Rolex att he time! Maybe in a few years if he has good enough grades of course, you could buy him a pepsi GMT, those are still pretty cool for kids and a Rolex wont hurt him with the girlies.

I wanted to start him with a nice watch that wouldn't kill me if he broke or lost it. He is very responsible for his age but he is still 13 and things happen. Also, 13 is way to young to have a Rolex. I think the first Rolex should be recieved for a major accomplishment. Hopefully he will gain a passion for watches and want one some day but I am not just going to give him one. He needs to work for it like I did. Lol

Btw, your nephew is the cutest thing. I definitely think you have a future WIS on your hands. He looks awesome sporting your watch.

What an awesome gesture. It worked out in the end since you where able to get you a new hulk. Lol
Congrats to you and your son for two awesome watches.
thank you Heath...He sure is into watches already, eyeing my SMP all the time, but he isn't getting that any time soon ;)

I know what you mean. My son has asked to "Try" on one of my subs and he didnt want to take it off. I can promise, he won't be sporting one of them out of my sight for a very long time.
Here is a pic of him showing off my hulk.

I hope so. It would be nice to have someone in the house to talk to about watches that doesnt think I am crazy for spending all this time looking through a loupe at the small differances on a sub.
Allthough, it will probably become costly for my wallet, it will be well worth it.

Thanks man. I thought so to. I am not big on the neon green in the strap but it looks good on a teenager.

In his dreams.
He likes green hence the green on the citizen he got. He asks me every few days to "switch" watches for a little bit and the. He disappears into the other room. I guess he thinks I will forget he has it on.

You are 100% correct. I get up every day for my two kids and would do anything for them. That is what life is all about.

Great story and lovely watch. Makes me very excited to get my son a nice watch. He's not quite 3 yet so will be a while.
