I agree with Ken on this.... the dial is so much nicer on the Zenith's.

Also in terms of collectibility the Zenith's will forever win.

Since you already have the 4130, I would go for the Zenith El Primero.

In house for sure, but since you already have it, go for zenith so you can have both.

IMO the newer in-house 4130 is proof that sometimes new IS better. Dial aesthetics aside (which is a personal taste thing anyway) the 4130 is better in almost every way.

I also personally love the newer dials anyway, the positioning of the sub dials is more proportionate on the face and the level of detail has increased over the older ones. Again, it's a personal taste thing, I'm sure there are plenty out there that still love the plain, old, undetailed, boring ones more.

Perhaps Dan those who like old models better don't see them as plain, old, undetailed and boring. Taste is personal Dan and to each his own.

The only thing that bothers me about the in house movement, is this sentence in WatchTime magazine, February, 2001 page 32, referring to the 4130 movement.

The job of advancing the timer-hand is delegated to an Elastic Ring, which has been affixed to the spindle of the clutch wheel.
