Thanks for the info. Questions:
-My bracelet/band, where the Rolex engraving is, has a number 4 with a 71 right below it. Would this mean that the watch was manufactured in april 1971?

- I've serviced it throughout the years and the only things I have replaced are the glass and in 1994, the the ring with the 24 Hour markings.
I imagine as with a vintage automobile, the more original the better, but what things would detract from it's value if replaced?
