I have a Coke GMT and would love to switch back and forth to a Pepsi ever so often. Can you tell me what is the best way to do that? Can I just call RSC and buy a pepsi insert and have it shipped to me? I was under the (I guess mistaken) impression that you had no choice but to buy from the secondary market??? |

So, here is what I've gathered... You can call your Rolex AD and they will swap your bezel insert for $80 (last week's prices). That being said, several Rolex authorized watch shops have authentic bezels, and they run about $125. Also, several rolex dealers (like the ones on the sales forum) have them too. I was able to buy a black GMT bezel for $125, and it's in the Rolex shipping material. I then bought a Pepsi from a dealer buddy of mine, used, for $50. I think what you want to avoid are aftermarket bezels. I see a lot out there. To me, that would be akin to wearing an aftermarket oyster bracelet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If you don't live in NY/LA or somewhere with an RSC, you could try an AD or an independent repair center with a Rolex parts account. |

I think I will first try my closest AD here in Maryland and see if they will sell me a new "Pepsi" insert. I'm thinking if I pay them to do the swap they may be more likely to sell me the insert than if I just bought the part alone. I'm pretty scared to try to do the swap myself anyway. Doesn't look too hard to do but I'm paranoid. Next bet will be to buy one from a dealer on this site I guess. |

What was the cost of the actual repair itself - the labor for swapping the bezel inserts? I'm assuming the $75 is the cost of the insert only??? |

No extra cost for labor, and they pressure test as well so I had to leave it for the day. Dug up the receipt from when I bought the Pepsi (no trade in) and when I traded in coke for black at service. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

OK one more question then I swear that's it LOL, I see you had that done when you got the standard $600 RSC service. My GMT was just serviced less than a year ago. So I'm wondering what they would charge to do the bezel insert change without getting the full service (or if they would do it at all in that case). Thanks

The prices are the same whether or not you get service I believe. The first receipt when I got the Pepsi was a couple of months before the service. They quoted me the same prices for bezel inserts on both trips. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
