Why I prefer Tudor over Rolex!

I think that there a few nice designs in the Tudor lineup.

I was "wrist empty" as I have sent my 16710 for servicing. I stopped a the Paris Airport Rolex / Tudor AD last February and tried the Pelagos which I really liked.

Spent a long moment hesitating but the quality feel was just not right. Walked away with my Stowa on my wrist.

I felt the price was too high considering the quality feel vs my 1.000€ Stowa.

Finally I ended buying a SD4000 earlier this week.

But to each is own.

I agree with Adam

Seven Rolexes and one THBBR and it takes effort to wear the Rolexes instead of the BBR. It's not that the Rolexes aren't nice it is just that the BBR is really really nice, I've loved it from the first time I saw it. Simply an outstanding watch by any name.

I don't love all of Tudor designs, but I also do not love all of Rolex designs.

What really surprised me was my first time trying on a Black Bay. The fit and finish were top notch, I did not think it was a $3500 watch. I respect the movement as well as it is a true workhorse just like any Rolex movement.

Regardless if the dial has a shield or a crown, you can't go wrong with either. I am happy they are back in the states as it is the best gateway into the Rolex family.

Dan is on the money. They are loved by plenty on here, because they are not ROLEX. I guess you either get that, or you don't. And they offer fantastic bang for your buck, IMO.

Yes Rolex are, and always will always be better, in most people's eyes, especially on here. This is The Rolex Forums after all. Is there room for both? Absolutely.
