Try Jacek, Bill. He currently has a 111 and a 113. Both are in great shape, complete, and the 113 was even serviced recently.

Hi everyone, digging up an old thread here, but when you are talking about making or losing money on rolexes, are you talking about UNWORN pieces? Or are people talking about pieces from their collection that they've worn for a few years, and assuming it's a hot model and in excellent condition, that you can still make money?

Hm...really interesting
So what about keeping 16610 2003 or pam164 2012
Which is more valuable?

Base Panerai's hold their value well but not as well as they used too. The rest of the market is soft and will not return to the bullish ways of 8-10 years ago imho.
I believe the brand has lost its way over the past few years.

A more comparable comparison would be 000 vs. Exp I. Both very classic watches that have received periodic upgrades.

I think both watches would fairly probably equally well.

A watch is not an investment. If it appreciates that is just a bonus.

This thread is 6 years old. The info may be a bit dated...

But how would a Panerai 000 compare to a Rolex DJII in about 10 years time?

If I know the answer to this OI would have little interest in watches.

IBTL.

But, the irony is that the question is now answered looking at the MRSP in 2010 vs. used sales prices today...

I wanted a new 372. I bought one. If I sell it, I'll likely lose money.

If I was concerned about this, I wouldn't buy cars, TV's. Boats, blah.

If you like it, buy it. If you're worried about resale, buy used.

Easy!

Yes! you are missing something! - No disrespect, but a quick google search would give you all the Panerai history you would ever need.

They are steeped in history and have a very strong bond/connection with Rolex
