I voted for keeping the one you have and looking for something else. Since the one you've got now has the sentimental value, hang onto it. If flipping was an option I would suggest that or making the trade, but it isn't.

Having both would be nice but they're too similar in my opinion for the amount of money that would be tied up in them.

I voted #3 above but that was before I read the posts. I don't know how to change my answer but based on fact that your original has sentimental value I keep that and look for something else. The new is too similar IMHO.

Stick with your first love. I'd suggest a WG Daytona w/blue dial if you want to add a Daytona.

Too similar IMO and your YG on leather is a great look. Go for the Platona for your next Daytona!

It would be tempting to source an oyster flex for your current Daytona and hold off on a new purchase. I understand the ceramic bezel is tempting but only a select group would notice that it is a different watch.

Definitely one of the more challenging questions raised!!

All the best!

Well...they're definitely similar. But too similar? That's a totally different question, my friend.

That thing is a beauty, G. It is one of about 3 Daytona's that I wouldn't mind strapping on myself. The forum is going to say get something else, but...the heart knows what it wants. Good luck!

Too similar. There are so many other equally beautiful options out there, why go similar?

Go with the wg, ceramic and oyster flex I reckon. A beauty and very different to your current one.

I say sell your old classic (or trade) and upgrade to the ceramic. I have the 116515 RG/Choc dial and love mine.

Too similar if you are asking for an opinion. Today I tried on the new WG with oysterflex and the platinum Daytona. I would consider adding one of those if it is in your budget range.

It’s obviously the same watch I wouldn’t buy it

I'm partial to your original one, but even with that said, seems like a big investment to have two things that are almost indistinguishable except for the bezel (and strap of course). Is another dial color an option you'd consider?

If the ceramic one sings to you, why not do it? Us Rolex collectors get excited at the most subtle of changes, and this is a big change, so I would go for it. Good luck.

If swapping for your current grail, it's a yes.
Since it sounds like you're keeping your Daytona I'd move on.

Very similar and not worth having basically the same watch in the collection, in my opinion. Now the WG version, add it and enjoy.
