Bondtoys, you sir are a gentleman.
Or perhaps I should say gentleperson. I’ve read the thread, and I don’t really think some were condescending or even patronising. It’s just that this was a perfect storm of unbelievable. Mostly because one would not imagine anyone would dare to confiscate a fake Rolex, especially when they don’t even have a connection to Rolex. Trolls are around, but sometimes even WIS get it wrong. I’m glad this forum has those who are willing to stand up to help “Injustice”, but it wasn’t warranted in this instance. In any case the OP aquited himself with aplomb. Welcome to the forum. My advice re the crystal would be to leave well alone, purely because the watch is fairly beat up anyway. Just enjoy it for what it is. Regards |

I learned something by reading this thread. I always thought the words "Swiss Made" and the Ts at the bottom of the dial were supposed to be centered or evenly spaced above the tick marks on the dial. Not the case here, which made me think the dial was fake. Then I looked at some other pics online, and I see that with this type of Roman numeral dial, the words are not necessarily centered over the tick marks but rather between the Roman numerals themselves.
It looked off to me at first. |

I still think rotating it will still leave the cyclops way to far outboard and not where it should be centered over the date window. That's either the wrong crystal or a poorly applied cyclops.
