The "Leave the stickers on" people out there are feeling pretty smug right now.

I collect cufflinks in addition to watches. I wear cufflinks probably 4 days a week on average. And I wear a watch all the time. I have pondered this topic, but I've never noticed my cufflinks scratching my watch bracelets or straps. I've also never noticed any wear on any of my watch bracelets or straps in the area that could potentially come into contact with a cufflink. All of my bracelets are stainless steel though and not PM, though some do have PCLs.
I just don't worry about it. I have my watches lightly polished at service time anyway. Whatever scratches they pick up between services is just a fact of life. |

Round polished shafts on most of my cufflinks. No issues. If you're concerned, there are always silk knots. You can look frugal and extravagant simultaneously.

I only wear then with a tux because I have to... otherwise skip them as I fear the scratches
Plus I find them uncomfortable (well the way the shirt feels whenyou lay your hands on a gable or work on a desk) anyway most of the time Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Don't care when wearing the Rolex's but the AP Royal Oak is a proper scratch magnet so I have used insulation tape to mask the central part of all my cufflinks. Works a treat and not visible to anyone.
