A simple polish would clean that right up.

Who did you send it too for "authentication"

Perhaps you could still get your money back.

I’m a little confused. I think there was a post on here earlier with the OP asking people to weigh in on the authenticity of his movement. There were a bunch of vague responses from people not outright saying it wasn’t authentic but eluding to “something” being off. Then the post disappeared. Now it’s being brought into question again, and again, no one is pointing out specifics as to what they find off about the movement.

The decorations seem to be correct. The text on the dial looks right in photos. What is it about this movement and photos that has people questioning this watch?

Thanks for bringing this up. Not sure why my previous post was deleted too. Maybe something to do with discussions about replicas violating the T&Cs of the forum?

Honestly, i just wanted to share the joy of getting my first watch but I've been getting so many subtle suggestions that what i bought may not be authentic that it's pretty scary.

Yeah I think posts questioning authenticity may not be permitted - though I’ve seen some people asking for opinions of authenticity from others on here before purchasing and the information shared is always informative for others on here. But I’d imagine that in the past posts like that have done nothing but cause problems, so I can see why they might be banned.

But like you said, no one is bringing up specifics.

I’m sure it’s nerve racking due to the fact that you’ve just spend a lot of money on the watch. But if nothing stands out to you as being off, and like you said, you got it authenticated, then there shouldn’t be anything to worry about ... enjoy it and wear it. If you’re still concerned then I’m sure there are other avenues to check.

In post #1 it appears to show an incorrect hand-stack for a GMT II.

I see, the picture quality isnt the best i must admit.
Anyway its stacked hour hand>gmt hand>minute hand>second hand. This should be the correct configuration if im not wrong.

Congrats, a very nice watch. If you find it keeps perfect time, you are good to go.

If it does not, then it may be authentic, and you can send it in for a $500. repair bill....
