If I'm not going to wear it I'm not going to sit on it. The ones I did sell including a 14060 are still missed but not enough to lose sleep over. I actually never sold just to sell, like you it was for something else to wear.

Most people wouldn't' do this trade, but then again most people don't have a 5-digit sub just sitting around never getting worn (not to mention the other watches you own).
If you don't wear the sub and you think you'd wear the OP, then I say go for it. If you regret it you can always get another sub later. They're far from rare. |

It's the OP's call as it's his wrist. If I didn't want to wear a watch and could sell it or trade it for another that I wanted I'd definitely do it regardless of what other thought. In this case I'd look for some cash as well.

I had a 5 digit sub. Didn’t wear it much. Sold it. I don’t find myself sad. It just wasn’t the type of watch I most enjoy. It’s heresy in the parts but the subtle distinctions between subs of different colors and GMT’s etc don’t matter to me much. I wear what I like. I encourage you to do the same. As an aside - 5 digit subs on the used market are largely fungible. If you find you miss it you can get another easily and for about the same money as you’d get from selling yours.
