...I wish I had a 16700 to get the caliper on and compare. News to me if you're right. How .6 of a mm makes much difference to how it sits is another puzzle. Talk about the proverbial midge's penis. You're messing with me aren't you. 'avin a laff.

When I got my GMT I looked at both the 16700 and the 16710. They are nearly identical in outward appearance. I generally prefer newer to older, but that's just me. Condition is paramount. I like the jumping hour hand myself, but that's a pretty minor difference. I would think parts are just a little more available for the newer model, which may be a consideration if you plan to wear the watch daily and appreciate it for a lifetime.

Jumping hour hand for the win. Every watch should have it.

Hi louisrjd, I was the middle of choosing between 16710, 16750 & 16700 in Hong Kong last week. I ended up buy a 1997 GMT Master 16700 (full set) from one of the reputable pre owend seller in Central. One of the reason it has a quick date setting. Goodluck. Cheers |

Holes case over no holes case for me. The 16700 is also a bit rarer than the 16710.

IMO the jump hour complication of the 16710 is far more useful than quick-set date of the 16700 |

If its an occasional wear, the quick date change of the 16700 wins hands down.

I would suggest to get both! I’m sure if you get either one first and you will end up searching for other one.
16700 and 16710 look the same but they are different in many ways. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
